I wanted to give a quick update on our latest
experience. I am happy to report we
worked out the kinks on this second order.
I was extra mindful to select which items I didn’t want a substitute
for and I went to do the pick up this time
instead of my husband, basically so I could see the system at work.
Upon arriving to the designated parking, 2 attendants came
out with everything. 1 came to my window to let me know that they had a
few substitutions; which I fully expected on a weekend. We were upgraded on items - from a half
gallon to a gallon on milk and better brand names on items they were out
of. They were completely out of 1 item with no substitution and they had
1 substitution that I let them know we didn’t want.
The attendant stated that wasn’t a problem and took that item
off of our bill. She then notified the
attendant that was loading groceries into my trunk that when she got to the
substitution bag to remove that item. I
never had to leave my son or the air conditioning of my vehicle, which made me
feel really lazy, but amazed at the same time.
I was asked if I would like the delicate items (eggs, bread) on the
passenger’s seat and those were handed to me. Once the trunk was loaded I
signed the keypad and was on my way.
We had no issues upon unloading everything at home. Produce
was all spot on, good selections and dates this time.
The bagging was impeccable. All
refrigerated items were grouped together.
Bags had colored labels to denote substitutions and fragile items. I marveled at the organization and all the
time I had gotten back into my day numerous times while my husband and I
unpacked the groceries. He jokingly told
our kids, “you mom is never setting foot in a grocery store again.” You know he
is probably right! I could sit and have
lunch with the rest of the family and play in the yard with them all afternoon,
whereas normally I would be gone over 2 hours doing something I dread. I set up
my Walmart pay account so my Savings Catcher money will flow over and we can
redeem those savings on future grocery purchases. For 2 weeks of groceries I probably had to
invest 30 minutes – including meal planning, building the list on the grocery
app and picking up the groceries. If you are struggling to find a little more time in your busy life; I highly recommend. A definite win for mom! Try it for yourself: $10 off your first order: http://r.wmt.co/fMSCh
