Everyone complains there isn't enough realness on Facebook, Instagram, etc. So I am going to give you a snapshot into what I have accomplished today....so very little.
Every person in our house is sick to like the tenth degree. We are all whiney, miserable, barking with coughs, dwindling our tissue supply by the moment. We are a family with no boundaries...you want to lick my spoon? - sure, baby wants a drink out of brother's sippy? - it happens, you want to rub your snotty face all over our bed pillows? - probably going to happen because we are too tired to care. Kolt and Klay do EVERYTHING together except sleep. They will either be best of friends when they are adolescents or hate each other. No happy medium. So needless to say we are all equally contaminated. My husband usually avoids these things because he works a ton of hours, but he has been on vacation and in the trenches this week. Meaning he legit got coughed in the face buckling a child into a carseat and hasn't been the same since.
And I know you moms can feel me...when mom is down the house implodes. I mean my friends always compliment me on my organization and cleanliness. That happens because I am super vigilant and I assure you if you dropped by now it is not my proudest moment. Our doorbell rang this afternoon and I looked at my husband and said oh my god who is it? We are not answering. If you want the true snapshot of how bad we are my husband left the house to watch March Madness with his brother, had 1 beer today and came home because he was too sick. I mean THAT is sick lol
My kids have survived on pb & j, goldfish crackers and some oranges. There is no cooking happening. I did manage to bathe both boys this morning before one had diarrhea and the other puked all over himself and my kitchen so there is that. Oh and I managed to vacuum my living room to realize it has stopped working and didn't pick anything up. I also managed to brush my teeth at 6pm and may just take a shower for my Friday night fun. I am heading to bed with baskets of laundry all over my bedroom floor, dirty dishes on the table, tissues all over the living room and puke clothes in my sink.
We are all far from perfect. It is what gives "mom blogs" a bad name. Will I be posting a picture of this mess on Instagram? Hell to the no. haha I strive hard for order, organization, well behaved kids and a nice home, but I am giving myself a couple day pass. And I mean it shouldn't take feeling like I am on my death bed to give myself one. You either!
So there is your Friday For Realness. Good night!! 🤒
(Edited and reposted from 1/16/17 blog post that accidentally got deleted) I am a little behind on my new year/get organized post because I went and had a baby 2 weeks ago ;) I wanted to share a quick list of things you can implement today to help organize the digital chaos and control the paper clutter in your life. 1) Set up a Secondary Email Account I have a separate email account for stores and online shopping. This is the email address I give out at checkout and for online purchases. Makes it super easy when out shopping to do a quick search for coupons and easy to locate tracking information as well as receipts you’ve opted to have emailed to you. 2) Unsubscribe Unsubscribe from any newsletters or email lists you no longer find beneficial. If you find yourself constantly deleting without opening, unsubscribe. I should also add read and delete emails every day. A cluttered email inbox, especially if it is a p...
